Don’t Ignore Your Education If You Want To Become A Fashion Designer

Fashion design has always been  and continues to be a very popular career choice.  Many art colleges are often oversubscribed in the field of fashion design.  Many of the great designers of the twentieth century had little or no formal training , but this is no longer the case.   Very few today can succeed in this field without formal preparation.  A degree is a must as it is very difficult to enter the industry without the minimum of this level of education.  Graduates  from a fashion design background have shown , via surveys, to earn on average twenty-five to thirty per cent more than those without a degree or any form of formal qualification.  Whilst formal education cannot guarantee success it does provide a thorough and compatible training background to fashion.
