What is a Celtic Harp?

Navigating the history of the term celtic dates many years back and simply means a large number of cultures integrated as a whole and unified by one language. From there you can derive both terms Celtic and harp to form the so-called Celtic harp which is otherwise known as an Irish, folk or lever harp. Celtic harp technically originated from Ireland. A Celtic harp is a big musical instrument which could be played independently or at an orchestra. This harp is strung by wires, guts or nylons. Depending on the taste and preference of its owner, it could produce a very distinctive yet refreshing sound though every harp has its own sound when played. Celtic harps are strung by wires and have a sharply audible sound. Those strung with gut has a more muted sound. Stringed with nylon will yield a softer and quiet sound than the other types of strings and it is most convenient to maintain as the materials are already available.  Playing the Celtic harp always gives a refreshing sound and it could be very romantic too.
