The Alcohol Consumption of Construction Workers
Throughout the years while working in construction I have noticed that most of the guys I worded with drank a lot after work and especially on the weekends. At some point, it actually makes sense for guys who work hard in construction to want to go to the local bar and have a few drinks after work. After all, working outside all day can make a person quite thirsty, and very few beverages quench a person’s thirst like a cold beer on a hot day. The sad part about this form of alcohol consumption is that it can quickly become a routine and then a habit that is difficult to break. Once an individual starts to drink most days after work, this drinking pattern can easily become a habit on the weekends. And when this happens, over time, chronic alcohol abuse or alcoholism can easily result.
