I had been in my organization for a few years, and then got a promotion which involved a good deal of travel. My husband became concerned about travel insurance until I explained the direct travel insurance coverage I had. It was the frequent traveler type and was an annual policy for frequent/business travellers. It provided comprehensive coverage for multiple journeys in a year. The coverage is only from the time you leave home to go to the airport until you return home from the airport. There is a pre-travel benefit that applies all the time. There is a maximum period for any one journey, and does allow limited leisure travel as well.
